Social Events

We would all be solo-divers if it wasn't for the social aspect of a club. Well, one could argue, there is the safety aspect to buddy diving that you need a club for...but it really is about hanging out with like minded people.

We not only catch up before or / and after diving, or for formalities like committee meetings and AGMs, but we enjoy regularly catching up for a drink and the latest gossip.

Educational Events

Wellington Underwater Club regularly participates in educational events like here for a talk about the Kapiti Seafloor Survey, organised by Victoria University. Many other organisations offer educational events that are of interest for our members like NIWA, MAANZ, MEC, FoTMR and Techfest.
